The funny thing about this shot- I saw the dress in Firenze, and I had to take the shot.

However, no matter what time of day I tried, the lightening just wouldn't work. So I ran to my host family's apartment, borrowed an umbrela and the largest flashlight I could find, and tromped back down the street to the shop window in the middle of the night. I got plenty of confused looks from passers by, but it was well worth it. Here was this odd tourist, ghetto-rigging a studio at 2am in the middle of Italy.

No kidding... did you see the red ribbon laces up the sides?

If/when I get married, I'd want to design my own dress, but I think I might gank some elements from this dress. ^^

yeah the ribbons are the best bit. Id have a corset top and a skirt that goes out at the bottom. But no mirange!
Im not religious though so knowing me id probably end up getting married in a pair of jeans ;)

I have no idea how you pulled this off, but the lighting is unbelievable!
I love the way the colors came out and the shadows are intense.

Well, I first found the shot in the daytime, and it just didn't have the right look. I came back with a lamp (which I stole from the room of my host family ^^) at night, and angled it to be under a yellow-ish streetlight, but worked with the lamp until there was enough both shadow and light in the shot.

Thank you, luv! ^^ (It got so many favourites... :heart: I'm going to have to post the other dress I got a shot of... same lighting deal.)
